Fu Yuan
Fu Yuan is a curator and author whose research interests focus on the productive mechanisms and representational politics of non-traditional media, such as performance and video. From 2019 to 2022, she launched the Macalline Center as its founding artistic director. From 2016 to 2019, she co-founded and operated the non-profit art space Salt Projects, providing a place for practice and communication for young artists and practitioners. Her curatorial practice has been supported by institutions such as Para Site Art Space, Maxim Gorki Theater, Asia Society, Japan Foundation, and New Century Art Foundation. Fu Yuan is also the founding editor of the bilingual digital publishing platform ‘Heichi’ magazine, and a contributor to art magazines such as Artforum, ARTnews, BOMB, Flash Art, frieze, New York Times, Yishu. She is currently a curatorial scholar at De Ying Foundation.
