Wang Hongzhe

Wang Hongzhe was born in Anshan, Liaoning Province, and he is a scholar of media history. He holds a PhD in Communication from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Master’s Degree in Communication from Peking University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology. His research interests include media history, technical history, information society, and labor studies. Currently, he serves as a researcher, tenured associate professor, doctoral supervisor, and postdoctoral co-supervisor at the School of Journalism and Communication, Peking University. He is also the founder of the Beijing Media Group and Game Manual.

In 2023, Wang Hongzhe conducted a writing workshop for ICAST, covering issues and methods related to personal history, family history, and contemporary history.
