Luo Xiaoran is a classicist and musicologist and is a lecturer at CAA. He holds a PhD in Classical Studies from the University of Washington with a specialty in Ancient Greek and Latin classical texts. He is fluent in English, German, French and Italian. His publications include the first Chinese translation and commentary of Greek epics Argonautica and Shield of Heracles, a Chinese translation of Adorno’s Philosophy of Modern Music. He is co-editor of the book series Charles Rosen, in which he has translated three books in the published series.

In 2020 Luo Xiaoran taught a course on Crito for ICAST.
