A Proposal for “Sheng Project” is the publication of the project with the same name. It was jointly planned and produced by ICAST and Long March Project, which formed the editorial and execution teams.

A Proposal for “Sheng Project” consists of three volumes: An Reader, YISHU≠ART, I Was Supposed to Go to Mexico. Using the pivotal contributions of Zheng Shengtian, a significant promoter of contemporary Chinese art, as a narrative thread, we can reinterpret the history of 20th-century Chinese art. By examining his extensive artistic journey and life experiences over more than half a century, we aim to reinvigorate our historical perception of Chinese art and society, thereby returning possibilities to history.
