Wang Wei is a poet and critic known for his works On the Poetic Spirit, Three Kinds of Poetic Drama, Poetry in the Era of Extinction and the essay series Modern Authors. In addition to his writing and researching poetry, he publishes essays that explore the intersection of literature, political philosophy and historical philosophy, and has written several drama scripts.

In 2018, Wang Wei organized the “Second Prometheus” themed reading group at ICAST. From 2019 to 2020, he taught ICAST course series “On the Poetic Spirit”.
