Jiang Feiran

Junior Research Fellow

Jiang Feiran is a writer and curator and holds a PhD from the ICAST where she is now a Junior Research Fellow. Her research encompasses contemporary art criticism and curation, avant-garde theory, and cultural studies.

Jiang Feiran was awarded the Jimei x Arles Curatorial Award for Photography and Moving Image in 2021 and was shortlisted for the 8th International Awards for Art Criticism in 2022. Jiang was also invited to serve as guest editor for the second issue of the online art magazine UNArt and authored Science Fiction Drama in 2020. She is a regular contributor to art media ARTDBL, and her articles have appeared in The Thinker, Artforum, ArtReview, ARTDBL, Artnet, Art Observation and China Photography.

During her doctoral studies at ICAST, Jiang organized numerous thematic seminars for enrolled students. As a Junior Research Fellow, she continues to organize studies on contemporary curatorial and critical theories for students and has coordinated and hosted a series of forums and research projects, including the Exhibition History and Contemporary Curatorial Practice Forum (2022, 2023) and the “Seeds Project – Towards the Mountain” program (China Academy of Art, 2023).
